Choosing the Right UniPunch Tooling Series for Your Application

UniPunch offers a variety of modular tooling systems designed for specific materials, part shapes, and hole sizes. Whether you’re working with flat sheets, tubing, or tough metals, there’s a UniPunch series built to punch faster and more efficiently. Here’s how they compare:

Flat Parts and Formed Parts

The A-Series is ideal for punching flat sheet metal in mild steel or aluminum up to 1/4″, with hole sizes from .0937″ to 3.000″. For extrusions, angles, or formed parts, the AJ-Series offers more clearance and flexibility to punch close to edges.

Tougher Materials or Larger Holes

For thicker materials or large holes, the AH-Series handles up to 1/2″ thick steel. For stainless steel, the AJD and AHD versions use D2 tool steel punches to reduce wear and handle up to 1/4″ thick material.

Tubing and Precision Work

The TP-Series is built for tube punching with mandrel options for clean holes in round or square tubing. The G-Series offers tight hole spacing, while the FCU-Series makes front-feeding channels and angles easy with its wide opening.
