What is Corner Radius Tooling?
Corner radius tooling is used for rounding the corners of a part. The size of the radius is defined by your application. UniPunch routinely provides tooling to fit in standard C-frame units for radii ranging from .093″ to 2.500″. Larger sizes available upon request.
UniPunch offers two methods: tooling for one customer specified radius (as illustrated below) and tooling that allows for 8 standard radii.
When requesting a quote please indicate the size of radius along with the material type and thickness.
EXAMPLES
To insure proper line-up between the punch and die, the heel of the punch engages in the die prior to the punch cutting the material. The heel can also be used for part gauging.
